Locations
Detwiler Road
This location is a walk down the road from my home. We'll start on the dirt road walking under the trees and land in a meadow. Absolutely gorgeous. I take my own family photos here.
There is room to park a trailer here.
Locations
Detwiler Road
Gorgeous in the fall, the road itself makes for a perfect backdrop.
Locations
Studio
A corner of my folks' shop in Arlee has turned into a space I am able to unpack all my studio equipment and create. Nothing fancy, but everything needed to shape the light and work inside from the weather.
There is room to park a trailer here.
Locations
Saddle Mountain
Overlook Arlee, wide open spaces, beauty in every direction. Bonus points for a Dancing Boy view!
There is room to park a trailer here.
I think you need a recreation permit here.
Locations
Perma Bridge
The Flathead River has my heart. There are so many places to stop and shoot facing East or West. You've got river, rocks, mountains, the works. Easy to get to. There is room to park a trailer here. I think technically you need a recreation permit here too.
Locations
Ninepipes Reservoir
A beautiful road stop across from the Ninepipes Lodge between Ronan and St. Ignatius.
Locations
Flathead River
You'll have to bring your tribal permit for this one, but my goodness it's heaven on earth just to be there. Should probably bring a truck down this bumpy road, not made for horse trailers.
Locations
Between Dixon + Perma
This is the road above the Flathead River. Again, one of my favorites, but a tribal permit is required for this one.
Locations
Mount Jumbo
A steep 5-7 minute hike for a gorgeous Missoula View. Bring shoes to change into!

McDonald Lake
The infamous mountain view at McDonald Lake never disappoints. Be ready to show your reservation recreation permit and know there's usually other people up there taking photos too.
