I'LL GUIDE YOU THROUGH THE PROCESS
All sessions are a mix of gentle guidance and real, unscripted moments. You don’t need to prepare perfectly—just show up as you are.
WHAT IT’S LIKE TO WORK WITH ME
I keep things simple: For big families, I’ll guide you into those classic groupings for Grandma's mantel photo, but I’ll also be ready for the candid in-between moments that happen when no one's “posed.” For smaller families, we keep it light and easy—think a little direction, a lot of laughter, and room for everyone’s personalities to shine.
FAQ
Are the travel expenses included in your packages or covered additionally?
Travel is included within 30 miles of Arlee, my home base. If you'd like to plan a session any further, let me know and I'll send over a travel quote.
What if our kids are wild during the photos?
That's okay! Kids are kids. We take them as they are. I tend to follow their lead. If they need to run, we let them run. If they need a break from photos we pause for five or ten minutes and start again when they're ready. My goal with photos is to always keep it real. With newborns and toddlers, if they are fussy the whole time we can always feel it out and decide together if we need to try again on a different day.
Best time of day?
If you choose an outside location, our best time to shoot will be towards the end of the day when the sun is low and the light is soft. For studio sessions we can shoot just about any time.
How long does it take to recieve the photos after the session and how will those be delivered?
The photos will be delivered in two weeks. I will send you a link to the gallery. From there you can download all of the images to your computer, phone and flash drive. I recommend backing them up in multiple places.
We want to include our dog into the photos, is that okay?
YES! I love when clients bring their dogs to the session.
What if the weather is bad?
We will keep an eye on the weather leading up to the session and reschedule if we need to.
A Few Tips
Don’t stress about perfection. The goal is connection, not perfection.
Bring snacks for kids if needed. Happy kids photograph better than hungry kids.
Trust the process. Some of the best photos happen when it feels like nothing special is happening.
